Fillers (Liquid Facelift)

What is Botox?

Botox, or botulinum toxin, is an injectable treatment that is primarily targeted to treat wrinkles, fine lines and creases on the face. It can also be used as a non-permanent facial contouring treatment to slim down your profile. Botox is more widely known as an effective anti-aging product for improving the appearance of your skin. Botox is able to treat signs of advanced aging as it promotes collagen production and skin elasticity. In Singapore, Botox is used to temporarily give patients a younger and tighter look.

What is a Liquid Facelift (Fillers) ?

A liquid facelift (Fillers) is a popular treatment option in Singapore that helps to temporarily restore lost volume in the face and fills in wrinkles and fine lines by retaining moisture over time. This is done using fillers that are reversible (can be dissolved quickly) or nonreversible (takes longer to break down).

Fillers can also be taken from the patient’s body such as fat fillers (soft tissue augmentation) or be made of collagen to naturally add plumpness to the treated area.

How does Liquid Facelift work in Singapore?

A liquid facelift stimulates the skin to look fuller, giving it back its elasticity and promoting a healthier and fresher look. It involves injecting dermal fillers to targeted areas such as the nasolabial folds and jowls. Gradual loss of collagen is what causes these signs of moderate to advanced aging to appear.

Some types of fillers that are used during a liquid facelift are Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) and Poly-D-Lactic Acid (PDLA). These are dermal fillers that can stimulate the body’s collagen production, add moisture or minimize the appearance of deep wrinkles or skin folds in just one session of a liquid facelift.

Why Liquid Facelift?

A liquid facelift is a minimally-invasive alternative to a surgical facelift in Singapore. It is suitable as a preventive measure in patients who are in their early to mid-20s who want to slow down the aging process or for patients who want to correct any existing signs of aging. A liquid facelift treatment takes only about 1 hour or less can be done during your lunch break even with a busy schedule.

Some benefits of a liquid facelift include:

  • Plumper-looking skin
  • Prevents aging
  • Reduced fine lines and wrinkles

What are the common conditions can a Liquid Facelift treat in Singapore?

A liquid facelift is designed to treat wrinkles and fine lines in delicate areas of the face including the temples, hollow under eyes, marionette lines (indented lines on both sides of the mouth from the edge of nose to outer corners of the mouth). This makes it suitable for patients across a wide range of ages and skin types. A liquid facelift promises a more natural look to help you appear younger again without any of the side effects that are present with a surgical facelift. It is also more affordable than a surgical facelift and can be reversible should you decide that you do not want a permanent look.

Frequently Asked Questions

What results can I expect from a liquid facelift?
With a liquid facelift, patients can expect to see bouncier skin with noticeable improvements in texture as the wrinkles and fine lines have become drastically reduced. After undergoing treatment, patients will also see an immediate plumping effect. A liquid facelift is a suitable procedure for those who are unable to undergo more invasive treatments such as a surgical facelift.
How many liquid facelifts do I need?
The number of sessions for a liquid facelift will depend on the patient’s needs. Patients who wish to maintain their new look can opt for another session of a liquid facelift after 6 to 24 months depending on the treatment plan you and your dermatologist have formulated. Generally, patients will undergo a maintenance treatment whenever needed. After 1 to 2 weeks since the first treatment, patients should return to the doctor’s clinic for a follow-up.
Is a liquid facelift safe?
A liquid facelift is generally considered to be a safe procedure. It is a non-surgical and minimally-invasive method for lifting your skin to give a youthful look. It is similar to a surgical facelift, though the effects will be more subtle. This is because excess tissue is removed and also repositioned during a surgical facelift while a liquid facelift is only able to create plumpness in the skin where there is none.

However, the risk of a surgical facelift include:

Prolonged swelling
Severe bruising
Discoloration

This may not be ideal for those who want a short downtime to be able to return to work or normal daily activities. With a liquid facelift, the healing process is much faster and safer. Your skin will also continue to look great for anywhere between 8 to 24 months after your liquid facelift is done no matter what type of skin you may have.
Is a liquid facelift painful?
A liquid facelift is not considered to be painful in Singapore. It typically involves injections in specific locations on the face to correct areas that are in need of rejuvenation. Local anesthesia may also be administered to help numb the treated area.
Does a liquid facelift have any downtime?
A liquid facelift does not require any downtime. This means you will be able to resume normal activities right after the treatment.
